      Blood rushing to that part of the body, triggered by signals from your brain which are usually related to feelings of attraction.

      It could be due to seeing a girl (or in some cases, another boy) that you are attracted to – you’re body is simply responding in a natural way, preparing itself for mating, exactly the same as for any other animal.

      They are often caused by sexual arousal, but you can also get them for no particular reason at all- especially when your hormones are all over the place during puberty. Some guys get them really often, and some hardly at all- there’s nothing you can do about it, but unexpected erections tend to happen a lot less after puberty.
