You should eat a balanced diet – a mixture of proteins, carbohydrates, fruit & veg, fats, sugars and water – for a healthy lifestyle. Proteins are known to help with muscle growth.

To grow muscle and height you need a balanced, healthy diet rich in protein. To grow in width, you’d need a diet rich in sugar, saturated animal fat and carbs – the sorts of foods you find in McDonalds!

Well protein provides the ‘building blocks’ of the body, required for development of all kinds of things like bones and muscles and your brain. You can get this from meat and fish and dairy products. Carbohydrates give you the energy required to grow, and these come from things like cereals, bread, fruit and vegetables. You also need some fat for all the processes that go on in your body and for your brain and nerves to work properly. Essential fats come from some fish, nuts, and avocadoes. Yum!
