• Question: How many scientists are there in Britian, Europe, and the World?

      I found data on the web that suggests there are about 6 million scientists and engineers in the world. So I’d say about 2 million, at most, are scientists, and I’d *guess* 400,000 of those are in Europe, and 40,000 in the UK. Maybe 1 in every 1500 people. So when Wembley stadium is full, with 100,000 people, about 60 of them are scientists.

      Depends on your definition, if you mean people working as scientists to solve the growing problems of our world, then the answer is not enough! However, i reckon we are all scientists at heart. All science really is, is curiosity about the world around us and the way things work and solving puzzles, which everyone loves doing. The rest is just training and jargon. Therefore, according to wikipedia…. about 6.93 billion!
