I’m no expert but living in NE Scotland I’ve been subjected to a fair amount of snow!

My basic knowledge on the subject is that water vapour in the clouds/atmosphere turn to form ice crystals when its cold and so instead of rain drops falling the water falls as ice crystals which clump together as snow flakes.
Apparently no 2 snowflakes are ever the same as they are made up of millions of ice crystals – I learned that watching CBeebies with my 4 year old daughter 🙂
