      They start to realise that they are only attracted to people of the same sex.

      Working out your sexual orientation can be confusing, and can take a long time: it’s not necessarily something you just know straight away. As you grow and change and experience different things, you’ll find out more about who you are, what you like and how you want to define yourself and your sexuality.

      By realising that they are either attracted to others who are the same gender as themselves or the opposite. They may not know straight away though.
