Hah, we’re all scientists on here you know! There are various theories about how the Earth was made but most scientists agree that it was a long process that is still ongoing today. We think that particles of dust came together in the form of a large spinning disk that got hotter and hotter as it span. Eventually, this disc turned into the sun with several large fiery objects orbiting around it. As these cooled down, they formed planets. The Earth is still being made – volcanoes are still erupting which result in new landforms being created.

Either that, or it was just magic!

A popular theory is that there was a “big bang” when the Universe started, during which a huge amount of hot, energetic material was thrown from a single point in space. Over a long long time, the material cooled down and began to clump together to form stars and planets because of gravity (mass bring attracted to mass). When astrophysicists look into space they see that it is still expanding even today, which is how they came up with this theory.
