• Question: does crust of bread make your hair curly?

      There is no scientific evidence to suggest that crusts make your hair curly, although it is a nice idea! If you are aiming for curly hair, the best thing to do is ask your hairdresser for some styling tips!

      I don’t think so! Though my grandmother did used to tell me that one too.

      This was a (pretty poor!) old wives tale to convince children to eat their crusts.. perhaps it wouldn’t work so well these days! But it has a good basis: crusts have a lot of antioxidants and fibre, so even if you prefer your hair straight, don’t leave them behind! Maybe you can think of a better way to persuade children…
