      Good question. I asked my biology teacher this when I was in school and we did some research. At the time we couldn’t find any real evidence to support this. In fact some people claimed that clicking your fingers can have the opposite effect, although again there wasn’t any real evidence to support this either!

      I have learned from a random web search that it creates an gas bubble in between your joints, stretching the tendons a little. Over time this leads to early arthritis. But there is no scientific evidence to suggest this is true.

      Probably not, but people shouldn’t do it anyway because it’s quite annoying!
